Wow, very cool indeed.
All 3 photo's capture a lot of beauty and wonder.

Those nets you folks are wearing
would come in handy against the cursed black flies in the Adirondacks
(Nasty biting insects!)

We had a cottage in Saranac- part of the old hotel
Long gone now
In the Attic
I found Newspapers from World War Two
faded and flaking apart
but so intense to read

Take the small boat thru Fish creek
I remember one year all the buoys
had gotten out of place
due to a super harsh winter
so we had to sit up on the deck
and visually make a way thru the channel

'Sitting on top of the World'
reminds me of being on the Lake
with the sun shining
and these endless big puffy clouds
each taking turns briefly hiding sunshine
it is like eternity but it was just a summer afternoon

I used to go for walks in the morning
it would be chilly
even in the summer
and I would put a pebble in a puddle
just to watch the ripples
a Dead Head even then I guess.

Ahh, The Sierra's when I taught school in Cali
Got to go to Yosemite in the summer
then in the winter
then went west to east out thru to Nevada
when the road opened in Mid May
My son and I had this crazy plan
to boogie board a small stream
coldest I have ever been
Colder than Sliding Rock N.C
in the Spring time.

The head nets were specifically to fend off the deadly black fly hordes. My wife was referred to as a "studly woman" by some of my male hiking buds since she could out do them on the trail...and she looks like a fashion model.

Plus she was front row center at the 5/5/77 GD show in New Haven, our first date was 5/5/87. Coincidence? Providence? Sheer dumb luck?

My Grandfather got attacked by the black flies around his eyes and we had to get him over to the hospital in Lake Placid. Pretty scary stuff like some kind of horror movie.

That;s cool because my first show was in 84 and my 1st wifes was in 95 Tampa.
